Google is thus allowing software designers to develop apps for the watches in an effort to reach the top of the recently born smart-watch industry. This will probably boos other major brands put serios efforts in coming up with decent and worthy of competition products, jump-starting the market. There’s even a video posted by Google on its blog, allowing us to check out a few of the features they have in mind for these high-tech fashion accessories, including voice, Internet connectivity, music, and even the ability to control your garage door.
The first Android to draw attention is the LG Electronics G Watch, set to be launched second quarter of 2014. Next in-line is Motorola with the Moto 360 Android watch, available this summer. Moreover, the Fossil Group Inc has also shown interest in the Google project. All in all, it seems there’s no change the grand search engine will strike out with this one, especially since the wearable computing market, which many believe to be the next big shift from smart-phone technology. Any takers out there?
